With over 22 years of teaching experience Sanford has developed a successful teaching style which he can tailor to the needs of each student. The core structure of his lessons is simple: 50% fundamentals and 50% fun. This approach to teaching is based in the philosophy that to be successful and play an instrument well it helps to enjoy what you’re playing. 

Sanford works with students of all skill levels and styles, from beginning guitar to music theory and intermediate/advanced jazz. His students range in ages from 8 years old to 68 years old.

Sanford teaches both individuals and groups/bands and he encourages his students to perform publicly. In addition, Sanford will assist his students in navigating the intricacies involved with putting on a live performance.
